Anthony Federov. American Idol contestant, and eventual loser leading into the final round of this delicious show. I call him Tracheanthony, because of his tracheotomy hole. It's like a cubby hole. You can store groceries and things in there. I realize that this may be turning into a very mean post, but it's Friday, and I am in a particular mood. What's the big deal anyways? This kid is going to go on to appeal either to a huge gay audience who will buy millions of his records, or he'll get tons of kids to purchase his music. He'll become the equivalent of a Disney hero or something. Maybe he'll play Aladdin in the broadway show. I don't know. The big question however is this...what did you think of the American Idol contestants this year?
We had the rockers, with Bo Lice, and Constantly Maroulis. We had the virginal country queen in Carrie Blunderwood, who probably used to shoot porn. We had the urgban white fat guy in Slob Savol, and of course we had a bunch of other contestants like Anwar, who my Dad was rooting for ( I don't know why), Niko, Friko, and Liko. Of course, this season was also tained with the news that America's biggest slut, Paula Scabdul, had a sideways tango with that snaggletooth Corey Clark. Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson were caught in a men's washroom in San Jose California being a little more than friends, while George Michael's Greatest Hits was playing on the Brit's ghetto blaster.
Okay, that entire paragraph was over the top, but seriously, I'm a little bummed about Carrie winning, and Bo losing. I realize that this competition is essentially only guided by America's three judges (Simon and Randy being the only judges really...Randy observing more of the technical execution of things, while Simon generally prefers to comment and critique star power), but I really thought Bo would win this. Carrie is another Kelly Clarkson in my opinion, and will probably go onto another career in that vein. I think she's a great singer, but I really was moved by the fact that Bo had this down home Southern charm that I thought would be good for the show. He seemed sincere, and the real deal...although his Southernisms would get tiring at times. I mean, he wore a Dashiki once, and that is aces in my book.
BTW...WTF happened to Fantasia Barrino and Ruben? They dissapeared!
