Less Visible Ultrasound...but an ultrasound nonetheless.

This weekend was filled with kicks like you never seen before. Literally. Our children were having their private version of the world cup in Olivia's belly. On Friday night, I saw a kick so powerful that it pounded out and created a little second long bump underneath the skin.
We took it easy this weekend. Fatigue is not so fun when you're 6 months down the road practically. One of the things that I am not entirely clear about is why there isn't more available in clothes for pregnant women. Why is that? Literally, there isn't a lot. Every place we've looked has something that makes you look like you're having a permanent love affair with polyester. There needs to be a revolution in the way women are provided their duds during that 9 month period. Don't the designers do something for this? Dolce & Gabbana must have something that women with child can wear, making them look fabulous, but maintaining functionality. I have to say that the jet set and pregnant women don't mesh very well in my mind though. How many pregnant women do you see gracing dance floors in Milan?

Fatherly thoughts and Questions this week:

1. Being concerned about being a good Dad. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't having a smidgen of anxiety about this. Last night, I was reading about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's agenda to develop nucelar power as a means of energy, the sanctions that the U.N. is considering imposing on Iran as a result of the their suspicions that he is covering his real intentions, and the resulting back and forth of a media barrage of he said/she said. I was reading about this, and it really really bothered me. Canada's federal election, and my impending not so easy to come to decision is something that I am thinking long and hard about. This will be the government that I endorse to begin raising my children in. I want the world, and my own country to be peaceful, progressive, and nice. Also..no nukes.

Ah...anxiety.
