At midnight tonight, the Star Wars movies come to a close. The full explanation of Darth Vader and his origins begins tonight. I read an interview with George Lucas recently, and he said that the inspiration for this terrifying villain came from his own father, who would beat him senseless with canes and steel rods, and would piledriver him every morning in an effort to get him off to school. He got the idea for the lightsabers when his father used to burn his fingers with an acetelyne torch.
Anyways...long story short. I'm stoked to see this film.
