In light of some recent comments by a friend of mine, I would like to publicly take the opportunity to eliminate any misconceptions about going to see a movie at midnight on opening day. As you can see, these people were present for the 8 o'clock screening this morning in Atlanta, Georgia. Seeing movies early is a great way to avoid lineups, or in this case, a great way to meet and discuss The Force with your fellow fanatical nerds.
Hey Darth Vader! Your wife looks uncomfortable in her Emperor costume, and something tells me your kid got no sleep last night, in your selfish anticipation to use him in your tribute to Lucas and the movies. Dad of the year!
In conclusion to this entry, I would like to add however that I fully include myself in the nerd lineup. I don't want to seem like I'm calling out those who seem to have a desire to express themselves so creatively. A good chunk of last night was spent on the computer reading up the last 25,000 years of history on both the Sith and the Jedi. Also, the whole way to work this morning I made lightsaber sounds with every movement of the steering wheel.
